Eden Prairie, MN: My Book Week 2020

My Book Day is a tradition for first grade students in Eden Prairie, MN in collaboration with the Eden Prairie Noon Rotary. This year, My Book Week was celebrated May 18-22, 2020. All Eden Prairie first graders received a book delivered to their home, Tuesday, May 19. Watch the videos below to hear about the importance of reading from Eden Prairie High School students, Eden Prairie government officials, community members and Eden Prairie Schools staff.

We want to see how your reading is going. Read your new book and tag us on social media at #EPEaglesBookDay.

2020 Book Selections

It’s officially official… The six books for next year’s Wyoming Reads have been selected, and they are better (and funnier and cuter and cleverer and sweeter) than ever before! Wyoming’s first graders are going to have a hard time picking just one of these fabulous books:

  • The Very Impatient Caterpillar by Ross Burach
  • Nobody Hugs a Cactus by Carter Goodrich
  • Cake! by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnett
  • El Chupacabras by Adam Rubin
  • Once Upon a Goat by Dan Richards
  • High Five by Adam Rubin

Stay tuned for more information in the coming months around celebrations, readings, and when your child can make their book selection.

We’d like to thank everyone from across that state that continues to support Wyoming Reads, including the great group of educators, librarians, authors, parents, and more who helped us narrow down this year’s books to these top six.
